Nope, this film just tells a very simple story, but it is told very much from the heart.

Just when I thought my daughter couldn't cry any harder, the credits remind you it's based on a true story.

It is obviously a family film so though there are sad scenes there is an element of restraint in the story, mainly because of the knowledge children will be watching it. This was a really moving story about a dogs loyalty to it's owner.You will need a box of tissues to watch it with.Really loved the true story and it will be a dvd to keep forever and watch again.

If you are a dog lover, if you have any kind of bond with your dog, this story simply cannot fail to touch your heart. The main reason for four stars instead of five was one scene that was so silly that it almost ruined the whole film--we're supposed to believe that a skunk kept the dog captive in that garage for an entire afternoon? Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 24, 2020 It was quite effective most of the time. Anyone who loves dogs, I imagine, will be in the same state after witnessing the amazing loyalty displayed by one selfless canine.

And a truly great movie, for many reasons.

I pride myself on not really being a crier when watching your usual tear jerkers - you know the ones, Ghost, Marley and me, Titanic.
